Rural Relief's Every Child Deserves Dignity Initiative
Focus: The Children of Portage County
Rural Relief will be placing food distributions on hold for the winter to work with Portage County schools, Head Starts and daycares. We will be providing hygiene items and warm clothes to stock discreet containers in classrooms. This will allow teachers to distribute items privately to local children in need. Having access to proper hygiene items raises confidence levels in students and improves acceptance by their peers. All children deserve to be clean and warm. All children deserve dignity. Let's join together as a community to make it happen!
